Welcome to the Resources page. Here you can find my list of my favourite websites for anything related to travel.

maps.me logo

The best offline maps you can download for your phone. They even include hiking / walking trails where Google Maps does not. In addition, I have found their location pointer to be very accurate so I always know which direction I’m facing when I’m trying to go somewhere.

airwander logo

A ‘travel-hack’ flight search engine that finds you stopovers. Not only does it find you cheap flights, but it also displays all the available stopovers with prices in-between. Highly recommended.

lonely planet logo

One of the original travel guidebook companies. I’ve bought/traded about 20 of their guidebooks the years. These get me excited to travel and provide useful tips to prepare you before entering unknown countries. On the road, I find their books a little heavy, but I always check their website, which is also packed with great info.

secretflying logo

The ultimate site for finding crazy flight deals, but you have to act fast.

spanishdict logo

An essential tool for not only finding English-Spanish word translations, but also for every conceivable conjugation of any word in Spanish.

hostelworld logo

The holy grail of hostel booking. This is the oldest and most recognizable website for hostels. I’ve found hostels to be the cheapest when booking on here if you cannot book direct. Always book a HOSTEL on hostelworld.com before ANY other booking website.

priceline logo

A great spot to find deeply discounted hotel deals. I always go here first look for hotels, but if you’re in search of hostels you’ll have to look somewhere else. If you sign up to their site you can get better discounts.

couchsurfing.com logo

Looking to travel on the super cheap (aka free) and really soak in the local culture? Couchsurfing is the place to be. It links locals who are looking to host travelers on an easy to use platform. Often times they will show you some cool spots in the city/town you’re staying in. Just be wary of hosts who seem like they want a little ‘more’ in exchange for staying with them.

agoda logo

Another great website for primarily booking hotels. One of the many websites I check when I’m looking to make a reservation. There are a few hostels on here as well if you’re looking for cheaper options.
